Recon Faraday Drone Shield - RF Isolation from Seizure to Lab

The Mission Darkness™ Recon Faraday Drone Shield is specifically designed to shield drones and other small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from all radio frequency (RF) signals and electro-magnetic pules (EMPs).

The Drone Shield blocks communication between the drone and the controller and ground control software guiding the flight. This prevents the drone from being controlled, blocks remote transmission or wiping of drone data, and blocks GPS location tracking.

As the use of drones increases with contraband trafficking, crime scenes, war zones and conflict areas, the ability to securely capture and analyze digital evidence from these devices has never been more crucial. It is also essential that seized drones are not tracked during transport, eliminating safety risks for military and forensic personnel. Additionally, examiners specializing in drone and UAV forensics need to ensure that devices remain un-communicable from the moment of seizure to the moment of data extraction, to preserve the drone’s digital evidence.

The Drone Shield bag can also be used to shield and isolate other electronics such as portable power stations, devices with embedded trackers, two-way radios and other communication devices, GPS units, multiple laptops, tablets, cell phones, and similar-sized digital devices.

When a device is enclosed in the Drone Shield, no apps or malicious code can be remotely triggered or wiped, no communication can penetrate, and no one can access features such as the microphone, camera, GPS , or data. Additionally, the Drone Shield prevents remote detonation, hacking, tracking, spying, chain of custody corruption, as well as EMP destruction.

Serialised: Each bag has a unique serial number for asset tracking and evidence chain-of-custody.

RF Isolation & Shielding:

  • TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric is certified by Keystone Compliance to MIL STD 188-125 (shields against High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulses) and IEEE 299-2006 (effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding)
  • Blocks all RF signals including WiFi (2.4 to 5GHz), Bluetooth, Cellular (including 5G), GPS, RFID, NFC, and radio signals from low MHz to 40GHz, with ~90dB+ average attenuation
