BelkaGPT is a fully-offline AI assistant integrated into Belkasoft X, built for digital forensics work in environments where evidence cannot leave the cleared workstation.
What BelkaGPT does
A multimodal large language model fine-tuned on forensic artifacts. Investigators ask questions in natural language across an extracted case, and BelkaGPT returns answers grounded in the case data, citing the three most relevant source artifacts with every response. The citation model is baked in as a hallucination-mitigation safeguard: every AI-generated answer is traceable back to the underlying evidence, preserving chain of custody.
Multimodal analysis
BelkaGPT covers text (emails, SMS, chats, documents, notes, calendar events), images (content description, keyword search by description), and audio (speech-to-text, transcript search). Q&A is supported across 100+ languages, with speech recognition across ~80 languages including many low-resource Pacific and South East Asian languages.
Data source compatibility
BelkaGPT operates on cases loaded into Belkasoft X. Belkasoft X ingests forensic images from major mobile and computer extraction platforms, including Cellebrite UFDR, MSAB XRY, GrayKey, and standard forensic image formats. Extractions performed on other platforms drop into a Belkasoft X case and become available to BelkaGPT for AI analysis. Labs are not locked to Belkasoft’s extraction workflow to use its AI capability.
Offline by design
All processing runs locally on the workstation. No case data ever leaves the environment. That makes BelkaGPT viable in sensitive compartmented spaces, on air-gapped systems, and in labs whose chain-of-custody rules prohibit cloud-based AI tools. For teams with GPU-equipped analysis servers, the optional BelkaGPT Hub distributes processing across the local network while remaining fully offline.
Hardware requirements
Standard forensic workstation: CPU benchmark 10K+, 32 GB RAM minimum. An optional Nvidia GPU with CUDA 12.x support and 12 GB+ VRAM accelerates processing up to 60×. Vulkan-compatible GPUs are also supported.
Who uses BelkaGPT
Law enforcement, defence intelligence, corporate investigations, and forensic units where cloud-based AI is not permitted. Used by teams that need AI-assisted analysis without compromising the chain of custody or exposing sensitive case data to third-party cloud services.
