Sweet sounds,without the EMF.
iBrain pioneered Air Tube headphone technology 20 years ago. Patented design keeps sound drivers, and the EMF they emit, away from your ears. For EMF-sensitive people.
About iBrain
Engineered for less radiation. Without compromising on sound.
iBrain is the original Air-tube headset brand, engineered to reduce electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure to your brain.
iBrain’s patented Air Tube technology moves the drivers further down the cable and lets hollow tubes carry sound up to the ears. With no loudspeaker sitting in the earpiece, the main EMF source moves 15 to 18 centimetres away from the head. Manufacturer testing shows up to 99% reduction in EMF exposure to the ears and head compared to conventional wired and bluetooth headsets.
Every phone call brings the phone into close proximity to the head. Every Zoom and Teams meeting can extend that exposure to hours. For people who are EMF-sensitive, or simply mindful of cumulative EMF exposure from cellphones and headset use, the iBrain range provides excellent sound clarity while significantly reducing exposure.
How AirTube works
Three layers between you and the speaker.
The same three-part design is incorporated in every iBrain headset. Hollow tubes carry sound to the ears. Wound copper carries the signal up the cable. The drivers stay out of the earpiece.
Earbuds without speakers
There is no loudspeaker inside the earpiece, so there is no magnetic field generated where it would sit closest to the ear canal and brain. Manufacturer testing puts the EMF reduction along the audio path at up to 99% compared to conventional in-ear headset.
The air tube buffer
Sound travels from the drivers up to the earpiece through flexible hollow tubes. Air does the work that copper would normally do in a standard headset, which creates a physical gap between the electronics and the head. The buffer also helps the sound spread evenly for a better stereo experience.
Shielded copper cable
The cable that carries signal up from the device is wound from fine pure copper strands. The construction blocks high-frequency electromagnetic waves from travelling along the wire, holds audio quality steady, and adds tensile strength for durability.
